Patsy Boozer
CISSP served as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and Director of the Alamo Regional Security Operations Center (ARSOC) for the City of San Antonio. Responsibilities include cyber, data, application, and facility physical security systems. Retired Naval Officer with 18 years in Federal, DOD and Commercial Information/Cyber and Physical Security consulting and management. In the private sector she served as Operations Manager responsible for over 150 security engineers and analyst including a 24×7 Security Operations Center as well as Director of IT Security for a FORTUNE 500® scientific, engineering, and technology company. Served as Director of Information Security Assurance at Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio.
Dr. Rajendra Boppana
Dr. Rajendra Boppana is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Dr. Boppana’s research interests include system and computer network security, performance, and high-performance computing. Dr. Boppana is currently focusing on system and network security, as well as cyber deception. Specific research topics encompass detecting and mitigating ransomware, exfiltration, and network attacks. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed conference papers and journal articles, along with several book chapters on these topics. Dr. Boppana has served as the principal investigator (PI) or co-PI for over 20 research grants from United States federal funding agencies and is the sole or lead inventor of three U.S. patents. Dr. Boppana earned his Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. Dr. Boppana directed UTSA’s Quantitative Literacy Program (QLP), a university-wide curriculum enhancement initiative, from 2011 to 2016. Dr. Boppana chaired the Department of Computer Science from 2012 to 2018.
